Yes the warmth of film is the desired look most digital photographers try to edit-in while processing their pictures. Why not just shoot film? Well their are obvious limitations to film that just cannot be overlooked when shooting a wedding. Speed, unlimited shots, ability to review, and volatility. These are the limitations that digital has conquered, but at a price. If you want the depth and warmth, of film you need to ask for film photography there is just only so much photoshop can do.
